| The AvH-award is given to Professor Lu in recognition of his seminal contributions to the development of nanostructured novel materials. When elected he was the youngest member of the Chinese Academy of Science and he is leading one of the academy's largest institute of materials science in Shenyang. In Germany Professor Lu is planning to cooperate with internationally known research groups in Göttingen, Münster and Karlsruhe to foster the processing and understanding of nanostructured materials. |
